You know when you have some projects to do that are important but they seem so much less important when you get sudden inspiration, the kind that distracts you from doing that important work and instead the new inspiration.
When a new image invades your mind you feel you need to put it on paper, equivalent to speaking words to the world, you need to communicate what you feel or think through visual means.
It's times like this I really feel the chaotic path of an artist. There's many paths an artist can follow, depending on his or her life pattern and thinking process. It's fascinating viewing someone else's art, getting a glimpse into another person's mind. Because artists speak through visual means for the most part, words often cannot replace the kind of understanding communicated from someone's glimpse at another's art.

So for comic con cosplay myself and a friend are going as FF9 characters. We will be Zidane and Freya.
unfortunately the costume experienced borkage and I haven't fixed it yet. I'm currently working on a Kuja costume as well.
At some point they'll be some cosplay pictures.
Also the Kurogane I have up will be getting re-done to be better, and my friend had a Fye cosplay disaster which is gonna get done too. We have plans for photos of those two as well which should be fun. Ah yes we also did the two Syaorans which turned out nice and have photos up from a while back. The thought is maybe to include some Syaorans in with Fye or Kurogane.
And...oh yes Hunny. He is also a plan but the time hasn't shown itself when that's gonna happen. See the costume got lost and they had to re-ship it..I didn't quite have the confidence in my sewing skills to make it myself, but there's a couple things I might want to try and tweak with it. But it was planned for the summer aikon, we had another costume pair to do (07 ghost) but it was a bit annoying that it was so late.

My next Aikon however this coming summer will be with my younger sister (who is large chested) with her as Mikuru and me as Yuki, both in the movie combat waitress and evil alien witch. This should be fun.

So for this upcoming Aikon in Winnipeg I will be going as Ouran's Hunny. (I'm short and cute as a small description given by friends and apparently would go well as him) I also have someone to go as Haruhi with me and hopefully a Mori. Good Moris are about as hard to find as good Hunnys because the cosplayers can't be the average height.
I hope there's other Ouran cosplayers out at the event too.
I think that it would be awesome to do the 'hugs for pocky' while cosplaying as Hunny. I'm sure I'd get lots of pocky

I suddenly stopped Ouran avatars because my external hard drive holding anime died. That was a very sad day. I was still on a warranty so that was pretty good but it took forever for them to ship me a replacement. Very sad considering it wasn't even from the US and had to cross borders. It was in BC and I'm in Manitoba. The funny thing is, since I can see online when they receive and ship out my stuff, each time I sent an email asking why it hasn't done anything suddenly it does something. So sometimes complaining gets them to do stuff.
I finally got my hard drive but I have yet to get Ouran back. I do plan to continue to make more.
Something a little more interesting is that since I'm off University for December (exam time of the fall term) I decided to start polyphasic sleep. For people who don't know what that is, it's essentially sleeping multiple times a day. I am doing the Everyman schedule for those of you who know what I'm talking about. I'm not really fond of taking a big chunk of my day to sleep, I often stayed up late when I had to go into class. I have a friend who started the Uberman schedule ahead of me, he's about a week in. I'm not going to explain how it all works, it's easy to google info on it.
The benefits to doing Everyman is that I've started sleeping a total of 4.5 hours a day. I might reduce it to 4 hours but I'm only a few days in. The only part of this that is actually related to art is the fact that I can spend a day in super-productive mode but once I go to sleep the next day I'm hardly productive at all. With not sleeping much except my core sleep of 3 hours it seems to eliminate that, leaving me in relatively the same mood.
Currently I'm not adapted yet so I've been sleep deprived. It really makes me envious knowing that other people are sleeping wonderfully in my house but I have strong resolve that in the long run I'll be pleased. I've read that once your body adjusts you'll be getting just as much quality sleep compared to someone who sleeps 8-9 hours. I hope to increase my productivity like this. But that's all it relates to art pretty much ;

So I came to realize that my gallery is starting to fill a good portion with avatars such as Ouran host club and now Lucky star. There would have been some Azumanga daioh but my external hard drive that was holding the images failed and I lost them...anyway I came to realize that I'm going to gain a title here that this is the anime genre that I'm most into. Once I finish doing avatars of Ouran and Lucky star it's my plan to do a different one such as Death note or Black lagoon would be cool......
I wouldn't want to leave a false impression, so some correction is needed. Though Lucky star/Azumanga/Haruhi suzumiya/Ouran type of anime are awesome it's not my main interest. Haha, I actually like stuff like Death note, Soul eater, Fullmetal alchemist, Tsubasa chronicle, Black lagoon and others. I love fantasy and sci-fi, usually dark storylines are the best.
